Happy Halloween '09

Another warm and sunny Halloween for the Daceys. Although there have been some movements afoot to make trick-or-treating more widespread in the neighbourhood, only random houses do it and the only focus here seems to be on the witches, ghosts, goblins and skeletons, and none of the more fun or innocent costumes that one can come up with for Halloween, like we do in the States. So we have stuck with having the kids go to the neighbours' homes on both sides- just enough excitement for all!

Superman, Crazy Girl and their bunny.

Our Watermelon Jack-O-Lantern- there are 2 or 3 token orange pumpkins for sale in every grocery store, but watermelons are in season- yum!

With love from the Daceys

Watermellon is much tastier than pumpkin seeds!

The Tinti-Kanes are happy to see the Dacey's are in the spirit! We had a great night last night with our skeleton and midnight fairy!

Dear Daceys,

I was the midnight fairy for Halloween. We trick-or-treated everywhere around our neighborhood. I had fun!

Hi Daceys
My kids enjoyed Halloween too. Lauren dressed as a bumble bee, & Rach made a token effort with a witches hat & cape. There is a bit of activity in our area & some very generous neighbours about. I don't think us Aussies know much about Halloween apart from dressing in the darker costumes (apart from the littlies)& trick a treating. Perhaps you could educate us all cause I believe its a big deal in the states.

So cute ! Love Claire's hair !
At least you don't have the mass bands of teenagers with pillow cases and Jason masks ! I made them all say trick or treat this year before surrendering any candy !
